"I did the card because I want to find a cure for cancer to make my grandma better and I like to draw and it would be fun to have my card printed because I make homemade cards every year and Christmas is my favorite time of the year. And in memory of my grandma and papa."

"This pine cone is a true symbol of life and hope. The very tree it grows on sprouted from a cone which fell off a Christmas tree when it was carried out of the house one year. This image reminds me just how beautiful and resilient life is!"

"Hope is something I value; something I think everyone should value. I tried my best to portray the warmth and brightness of Hope against the cold winter winds. Thank you for your consideration of my attempt to spread home over the holiday season. "

"I never painted a picture until I was 60. The picture I painted shows some of the things I love about winter--the ethereal colors of the snow and sky, the fluffy flakes floating down like a snow globe, and the adorable chickadees who grace my bird feeders-- and it seems to depict the Christmas carole words--"let heaven and nature sing". Picture as painted measures 5x7."

"I chose to draw this scene because it really represents Christmas from my point of view. The angel and the star to me stand for the joy of Christmas. The church to me represents the spirit of Christmas."
